It's difficult for Australia to break new ground.

The greatest achievements have already been conquered.

This is the unit that has claimed seven Cricket World Cups, in addition to another six T20 titles, and earlier maintained over three years unbeaten in 50-over cricket.

The alternative records, targeted by the peak baggers, are all that remain for a team that has won it all.

It needed as late as Sunday's success by three wickets over India for them to complete their first ODI chase over 300, regaining their record for the largest in the female 50-over format, is, honestly, a tribute to the bowlers that have sported the yellow jersey over the last half-century.

It is hard for their batters to hold a record if not provided the chance.

Finally, the consequence of Australia allowing 330 runs was leader Alyssa Healy receiving an opportunity to produce her newest gem.

"An opportunity to go out there and lock in a contest with her and simply enjoy myself in that aspect, sort of got me going," said Healy.

She achieved fifty in 35 balls - her quickest at the global tournament - and her ton in 84 as she punished short deliveries, scoring 21 fours and three big hits.

Once she was removed her side needed 66 additional runs at run per delivery - an achievable target now needing a comfortable finish.

"Chasing 330 runs is new territory so I'm pleased we have the assurance to do that now," added Healy.

"Ideally we won't need to do it again but, if we do, we are confident we can succeed."

Those words will be the last competing nations at this tournament should hear.

During the last week a belief they will triumph from any situation has grown stronger - this triumph succeeding success over Pakistan by 107 runs despite sitting at 76-7 at a certain moment.

Following this Australia face Bangladesh before a meeting with traditional opponents England in Indore in a week and a half, by which point a semi-final berth may well be secure.

It was at that stage they left the prior year's T20 World Cup in a shock defeat by South Africa - a match Healy couldn't play because of ruptured tissue in her foot as she captained her nation for the initial instance at a major tournament.
