In a surprising crossover event that challenges conventional predictions, Ubisoft has revealed an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, offering free extra story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Mission Uncovered

According to the official release, "A strange encounter draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh adventure, where hints of prohibited rituals and fearsome transformations reverberate through the obscurity." The plot features a "unusually attired woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with journeying into the Crystalline Cavern—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a clandestine cult.

The questline centers on "peculiar trials and a fearsome enemy" and is open to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Familiar Settings and Metamorphoses

The preview highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was earlier where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser ends with a striking sequence showing a character, presumably the captive, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Players who accomplish the mission will obtain an unique katana together with several items hidden throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also contains in-store Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
